By any-other, other, other name

In Novembers identity switch up, we have new terminology within the Dynamics platform. I love the concept and the level of integration we’re getting with this platform, but it is adding a layer of complexity to change the names and terminology. Dont get me wrong - I understand the need to more aptly name components to be more disambiguous or defined!

  • Entities are now Tables;

  • Fields (formerly attributes) are now Columns;

  • OptionSets (formerly Picklists) are now Choices;

  • Records are now Rows; and

  • TwoOptions (the boolean value) are now Yes/No

In addition, Common Data Service - the underlying service that connects everything together, has been renamed as the grandiose ‘Microsoft Dataverse
